WalletHub considered several metrics in their pigskin-themed study including community support for college and professional teams.

Their list concluded that the best major city in America for football fans is the home of the Steelers, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The best medium-sized U.S. city for fanatics is also home to an NFL team. Green Bay, Wisconsin. And the best small town to cheer on the home team is quite obvious when you think about it. Tuscaloosa, Alabama boasts eighteen national championships for their Crimson Tide.
